Industry Days: Works in Progress

Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 10:00 Lumière Cinema, Hall K2

Would you like to learn about Slovak films to be released in near future? Industry Days at Febiofest 2018 will again present upcoming Slovak film projects to local and international film professionals, sales agents, producers, festival representatives, journalists and film fans. The presentation will introduce ten feature- length projects accompanied by two shorts, one student and one professional short film project.

Industry Days: The Importance of Being Short

This panel discussion aims to examine the current position of short films on the Slovak and international film market.  Is there a lack of support and an absenting professional ground for short films in the Slovak film industry, resulting in the fact that short films are being produced almost exclusively at film schools? Representatives of short film festivals, sales agents and short film makers will discuss the challenges short film is facing in the national and international context. These topics will be examined more closely at a special Master Class, presenting a case study of and by a successful short film maker.

More details about the schedules, program and international guests will be released in early March 2018.
