WORKS IN PROGRESS
March 17, 2023
Works in Progress is a public presentation of upcoming Slovak films for representatives of international film festivals, industry platforms, and sales agents. The pitching session is followed by pre-scheduled individual meetings.
Ten projects intended for theatrical release are presented, a mixture of fiction, documentary, and animated films, both features and shorts in various stages of development/production.
International jury will hand the Best Febio Pitch Award worth €3000. Partner awards include Cineuropa Work in Progress Award, which offers coverage of the awarded project throughout the various stages of development and distribution by Cineuropa, and Pop Up Film Residency Visegrad Award, which allows one project to benefit from 3-week residency in Warsaw and tailor-made mentoring program.
Projects selected for Works in Progress can participate in a training program with Danijel Hočevar with focus on how to present the film at public pitch. The partner of the training is Midpoint Institute and Character – Film Development Association.
